Briton: Coming to Thailand

Really excellent website with great information for new teachers. I'm part of a teaching group coming over soon and am really looking forward to the experience! I managed to find tons of useful information on both of your sites. Thanks for creating and maintaining them.

Guest: Fantastic resource

This is a fantastic resource for American children to learn about typical school life in Thailand. However, the "Recent Comments" section in the left side bar has too much inappropriate language for me to allow my students to access ... would you be willing to consider removing that section from the sidebar?

Kind regards, Laura Holloway

Dear Richard,

I teach EAL in a Warwick, UK primary school. We have a Thai pupil who is very homesick in spite of having lived in the UK for three years. He loved your website when I showed it to him. I wonder if it is possible for a 10 year old pupil from your school to write to our pupil as a pen pal. My email address is sasmita_sinha@yahoo.com. If you feel this is possible we can discuss the procedure further. Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

With best wishes,

Sasmita Sinha

Ann Paulson: Terrific Website

Dear Richard,

You have a terrific website! It is very informative but also fun. I am a physical education teacher in Tucson, Arizona and am researching games children play in Thailand. During my research, I found your link and you have kept me enthalled with your narratives and especially your pictures of the children! Thanks and keep up the great work.

Andrew Bowe: Your School

Hi there veryone my name is Andrew Bowe, but I liked being called Andy Bowe. The school website of this chool is awsome and makes me feel warm inside, learning what your cultural values are, mean a lot to me, I remember reciving an email from your principal one time, and I said a happy birthday to King Bhumibol Adulyadej King Rama 9 on his 79th or 80th birthday, and when ever I see pictures of your royal family I start blushing like crazy and even start having tears in my eyes, not because I am sad but because I dearly respect and love them and all of you like all of you are a member of my family, I am shure all of you would understand, what I mean. The family who started the school I think would be amazed at how global it has become with the Internet and I think what would make it better is if in your language section why don't you add Swahalli which is spoken in Uganda Kenya and Tanzania about 38% of that langauge comes from Arabic, I guess when I prononunce The Kings full name It sounds like Swahilli but I know its really not.

aknj: Extra cllasses for kids

I recalled attending tutoring classes in the evening almost everyday after long hours at school. I also attended summer school every years for preparation for the next school years. It must have done me some good because I got to attend Triam Udom Suksa, the best high school in Thailand (back then, at least). I later came to the USA where I eventually got my Ph.D. and became a scientist. If it's not for those rigorous learning/training I had when I was young, I doubt if I would be where I am today.
